How do I determine my level of practice?

The Basics

Never done yoga before? Do you have injuries? No problem. These classes are slow paced and have a detailed description of each pose as well as the proper modification. Suitable for beginning students with little or no experience at all with yoga.

All Levels Vinyasa

These classes are suitable for beginning, intermediate and advanced students who have a basic knowledge of the Sun Salutations. Vinyasa means linking movement to the breath. Depending on the instructor´s teaching style, these classes are often faster in pace or require holding the poses longer. They can be vigorous. Instructors will offer students options and modifications through the progression of the poses. When appropriate, all levels classes offered at noon and 5:00 p.m. are often heated.

Level 2/3

These classes are only recommended for advanced students. Advanced meaning having a well established practice -for some, it could be 4 or more years of experience. Heated and very vigorous. You may want to speak to the instructor if you are not sure if your practice level is 2/3. Please talk to instructor before attending.

The Mix

This is a combination of basic yoga poses and floor Pilates emphasizing on strengthening the core. Students find that combining yoga classes with The Mix is a fun way to strengthen the core so you can improve your yoga practice. Suitable for all levels.

Yoga Sculpt

This class is suitable for all levels. The optional use of weights helps increase the heart rate. If you are ready to step up your all levels practice or want something different, try it. 3 and 5 pound weights are provided.

Ashtanga Flow / Ashtanga Improv

Ashtanga is a style of yoga. The difference between Ashtanga and Vinyasa is that Ashtanga has a pre-determined order to the poses, the sequencing is already set. The instructor may modify the sequencing of Ashtanga Primary Series to fit the 75 min. format.

The Running Club

The running club is an all levels class composed of a 45 min run/walk around our beautiful neighborhood followed by a 30 min yoga stretch. Class meets promptly at 8am at the studio.
